Remaining work

Confirm what work is complete and what is still in progress. If the contractor has finished, note the completion date. If work is ongoing, identify which areas are done and which are not. Cleaning is most effective after the contractor finishes, because ongoing construction produces new dust. Share the completion status so we can plan the right timing. Access

Share how the cleaning team will access the property. Will someone be on site, or will you provide keys, a lockbox, or an alarm code? Note any access restrictions — gated communities, parking limitations, or loading dock requirements. If the property is in a restricted area or requires coordination with building management, share those details so we can plan accordingly.

Material information

Share what materials and finishes were installed. Different surfaces require different cleaning approaches — natural stone, sealed wood, glass, laminate, tile, and painted surfaces each have specific care considerations. If the contractor provided manufacturer care instructions for new surfaces, share them. The more we know about the materials, the better we can match the cleaning approach. Known restrictions

Identify any areas or surfaces that should not be touched or cleaned. Some new finishes require a curing period before cleaning. Some surfaces have protective coverings that should remain in place until a specific time. If the contractor flagged any do-not-clean areas or surfaces, share those restrictions so we can exclude them from the scope.

Priorities

Identify your priorities. Which areas matter most — the main living spaces, the kitchen, the bathrooms, the entryway?
